Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. On May 22nd, the four of us are combating a fear of heights by jumping out a plane at 13,000 feet to raise money for this amazing charity.

Education is something that most of us take for granted, however in Zimbabwe it is a luxury not available to all. Children are spending their childhood working and scavenging to raise enough money to fund their next meal, let alone for school fees. The schools often don't have any infrastructure and are held in dilapidating huts or under trees with no books or basic teaching accessories.

Education is the only hope to break this vicious cycle - so please help us to help them.

ZRSDP is a charity being run out of the UK that is helping to re-build communities and school in rural Zimbabwe. Administration costs are funded by voluntary resource to ensure that the maximum amount goes to those that need it the most. Have a look at the following sites for more information on the current situation in Zimbabwe.

"All children are born with wings, and it is a teacher that teaches them to fly" - Anon

"In a time of no hope, thank you for giving us hope" - parents of school kids at Makowe Primary

Your generosity will help a child to have a childhood that should be their right. Help us to give them the opportunity to find their wings and fly.

About the charity

ZRSDP aims to help schools in rural Zimbabwe. By working with our local contacts in Zimbabwe, we direct our funds where we believe they will have the highest impact, providing materials for communities to build classrooms and furniture. Our hope to improve the learning environment in some of the poorest areas of the country.
