Story
A few years ago, my sister was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I'd heard of this condition - which slowly destroys the central nervous system - but never knew how much it affects sufferer’s lives each and every day until I saw how it affected her. I have donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society myself on previous occasions, but this year I felt like doing something a little special to raise money for this worthy cause, and to raise awareness of this illness which can strike anybody, without a moment’s notice.
I hate running and can't swim well enough to ask people for money, and although I enjoy cycling, it just didn't seem exciting enough. So I've decided to jump out of an airplane from 10,000 ft and hurtle towards the gound at over 100 miles per hour before parachuting safely to earth. Not only that - but five of my work colleagues have agreed to do it with me!
The jumps will take place on or shortly after 22 March 2009.
Please give generously - the more money you donate, the better we will be able to help those with this terrible condition.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain & Northern Ireland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
Thank you so much!
