Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please help me to help equines by helping their human partners.  These animals are living in dire circumstances and in intense pain through lack of knowledge or owners' money for veterinary assistance.  Please sponsor me to help them out of this constant treadmill. The animals often only last a matter of months before they give up through exaustion or pain.  Change can only happen where there is a will and the means for it to. £3,000 is the minimum I am hoping to raise. (Donating through this site is totally secure. It is also the easiest way to sponsor me taking only a couple of minutes: Brooke Hospital For Animals will receive your money straight away and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.).

The trek is 18th - 28th October 2007, but monies can still be collected for this very worthy cause for some while yet.   Please note this is not a holiday, but a challenge and an experience, and your money is going to the Brooke, it has been described as gruelling (but I hope not too!). We will be travelling ambassadors for the Brooke in each of  the villages we pass through and will be visiting a Brooke Hospital in Delhi to see the vets in action, plus a visit to a working brick kiln - a very tough call for both animals and humans, at the end of the ride.

Big thanks to: Ariat for donating a pair of All Terrain Boots for my trip. I have test ridden them & they are great, also for all the donations added here and offline.  You have all been marvellous. I am overwhelmed by your generosity.

Planned Rides - sadly due to foot & mouth throughout the last few months, all the south east pleasure and endurance rides have been cancelled this year. Training is taking the form of long rides out, my thanks to Kate G over the months, and training sessions with Maggie Pattinson of On the Hoof Distance Training. Very big thanks for her help ,  along with Manisha in India and everyone else, who between them are keeping me sane (just about) as the ride approaches.
