Stand by Me (previously Kids Alive) is caring for over 3000 children in some of the world’s poorest countries. Through our children’s homes, schools and care centres we transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children, by providing them with care that meets their individual needs.

Just Add Water is about making a difference... At the start of 2011 I decided that I wanted to set myself a challenge, not just a personal challenge but one that would make a difference.

I decided that I would spend a year just drinking water... no tea, no coffee, no fizzy drinks, no beer. Just water for an entire year. I reckon that each month I spend around £40-50 on buying something to drink and given that water is free, I'm donating £50 a month to Kid's Alive who help to provide water filters for families in places of desperate need.

A water filter costs approximately £25 and I would love to raise enough money to provide enough filters for 100 families. Alongside my monthly donations, I'll be doing one off fundraising events, donating any financial gifts I receive for speaking at youth events and hoping that generous people like you will help to make this dream a reality!
