Salisbury City Half Marathon · 18 October 2009

First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This is all my fault!

I said to Jane 'how about a half marathon then'. Once she had picked herself up off the floor she said 'OK then let's do it'. So we have been pounding the streets for months now (actually we have been doing a few off road runs followed by a hot chocolate in the nearest pub!) and we are as ready as we will ever be.

So this weekend we are off to Salisbury with our muddy trainers, sore knees, achy hips and a couple of bananas to run 13.1 miles along the River Avon Valley. I should mention also that it is being organised by the Firemen at Salisbury Fire Station and they are offering massages afterwards!

It would be great though if we could raise a few pounds for a good cause in the process. So if you can spare a few pennies for the lovely people at St Georges Neonatal Unit, who looked after a good friend's baby when he was born, then that would really make it all worthwhile.

I know everyone is worrying about the pennies at the moment but any donation would be gratefully appreciated.

We will let you know how the massage was!
