The PDSA has long been one of my favourite charities and was also another charity of choice of my late wife Chris. We had a special affection for them since the Northampton branch saved the life of our dog Bronnie in 1990. She developed parvo virus within 2 days of our taking her in from a rehoming centre and, had it not been for the PDSA's treatment of her (despite our not officially being eligible for their help) she would have died and our family would have been deprived of 10 very pleasurable years of her company.
