Story
I have been taking part in race for life events for over 10 years. This year feels more important than ever as cancer has had an affect on us directly as a family. As Megan was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year she is under the care of an oncologist. Her tumour may be low grade (Benign) but as it is a tumour in her brain it can be just as dangerous as a high grade one and therefore still called cancer.
Megan is a fighter and her tumour is stable at the moment but that could change, others are not so lucky. This fundraising will help fund research into cancers including brain tumours so hopefully in the future a cure can be found and especially one that doesn't include pumping children with toxic drugs or radiotherapy beams. And it's not just brain tumours, cancer can affect any part of the body and has devastating affects for both the individual as well as their family and friends. Lets do everything we can to fight!
I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year. Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
