Story

Hi everyone, my name is Kandy and I’m the luckiest dog in Afghanistan and this is my story.

When I was about 6 weeks old, I was rummaging about a rubbish tip looking for something to eat when all of a sudden a strange man picked me up. He took me into the nearby Compound where I was born and I think he worked there. It frightened me at first but after I was given some food, a good wash and some medication I realised he was taking care of me. I felt so lucky as I was starving, malnourished and very sick, I really didn’t think I would last much longer to be honest.

As time went by, I grew bigger and stronger. So much so, my new Masters keep telling me I’m going to be a big girl! I’m not too sure what this means but I like the sound of it! I play with my new Masters everyday and I love them very much. I’m about 4 months old now and doing really well, I have a dream as well now too, please help me to make my dream come true.

I really want to go live in the U.K. now, I’m told I’ll love it there as there’s lots of big green fields for me to run about in and rivers to drink out of. I’ll miss my Masters very much but I know I’ll see them over there soon. I understand it’s very expensive to get to the U.K. so that’s why I need your help.
I’ve found a couple of Dollars on the ground recently but I still need to find more.

Meet Junior, she found her way onto the same compound that I live on a while ago.  Junior is still very young and seems to have adopted me as her new mum, a role that I have done a great job with even though I am just a pup myself.

Junior has one of the saddest faces I have seen and she just loves to play with me and the guys on the camp and she loves being cuddled.  We would very much like to bring Junior home when I come home but we need your help to do this.  Please donate and help us to raise the funds we need to keep us together.

Thank you everyone who’s taken the time to read our story, I can’t express how much I appreciate it. I will try and keep you updated regularly when possible.

Love Kandy x
