Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This time last year I was recovering from a ski injury and I was shattered I couldn't do the curry run. This year however the knee is holding up well and I am doing 10k my target is to do it in under an hour - at the moment I am hitting 8k in an hour.
My motivation is to raise money for the ABF, if you don’t already know there are many of us running and each of us will have a soldiers name on our T-shirt. I am proud to have the name Cpl Lee Brownson on mine. Here is a little bit about him.
Cpl Lee Brownson, died while on foot patrol in Helmand province in January 2010.
Cpl Brownson, of the 3rd Battalion The Rifles, was due to become a father for the third time when he died. His wife has since given birth to a son.
An inquest into his death heard he had volunteered to lead a night patrol, which was aimed at preventing the Taliban from planting improvised explosive devices, and reducing their ability to intimidate the local population
He was posthumously awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross.
Please sponsor me and help raise money for the charity that supports those injured and those left behind.
