Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in June 2019. I was already training for my first marathon which I completed with Simon, my running partner in September 2019. Not content to rest on my laurels I have challenged myself to run another three whilst on treatment in 12 months.

I am proud to be the first sports ambassador for Against Breast cancer and hope that I can be an inspiration to all the other women who have been affected by breast cancer in one way or another.

No one wants to have cancer but it doesn't have to stop you doing what you want to.

We completed Florence marathon in November last year but due to Covid our plans for London and Berlin have been put on hold! We are now planning our Virtual London marathon which is taking place on October 4th 2020. Instead of pounding the streets of London, we get to run in our home territory of Hampshire, starting in Timsbury, going through Romsey, Michelmarsh, Dunbridge, Lockerley , heading up to Dean hill and finally back to West Wellow. The big finish planned with  friends and family in the Red Rover!

We'd love some of our friends to join us for part of the run! Watch this space for the final route!

Please support me by making donation to Against Breast Cancer so maybe one day a vaccine might be found to combat this disease.

About the charity

Against Breast Cancer are working to prevent secondary breast cancer by funding unique research into the development of new treatments, including ultimately a vaccine; improving upon current blood tests; and assessing diet and lifestyle for factors that increase the risk of secondary breast cancer.
