Story

Yay!

On the 9th October 2011 (a week ago at the time of writing), after 16 weeks of training, I finally run the Royal Parks Foundation's Half Marathon. What a day!

I managed the whole course (13.1 miles / 22 km) in 2 hours, 25 minutes, 52 seconds.

It was a gorgeous day with ideal weather. I felt like I was powering through the first half of the race; the second half was much, much harder, but despite having to walk for about 300 metres, I did complete the course and finished the race running. It was awesome!

Many thanks to all of you who generously made donations for Shelter on this page. I like to think that we are all making a positive difference to someone's life somewhere, and that someone vulnerable is a little better-off thanks to this effort.

As you can see, my overall fundraising target isn't quite met yet, so if you would like to donate now (and until about three months from now), you still can.

For a full account of the day, feel free to take a look at this post: https://plus.google.com/109746339243031639784/posts/buK8gYB39Lj.

All the best,
