My name is Karen Stroud, I am a director of Chapplins lettings and property management company and for the past 4 years I have raised money for Breast Cancer Campaign on “Wear it Pink day” during breast cancer awareness month in October.  I have done this by completing a 6 hour bike ride on a static bike outside our office in the Portsmouth Area.  I have raised around £2,000 in sponsorship and public donations during this time.

 

This year I, along with my husband and Co-Director Andy and 3 friends, have decided to go one step further, or many steps further, and attempt to cycle from Lands End to John O Groats over 11 days completing around 95 miles a day between the 21st and 31st May 2010.  Please give as much as you can and pass this page onto everyone you know.

 

In the UK, breast cancer is the most common cancer and one woman in nine will be diagnosed within her lifetime.   I am raising money for the charity "Breast Cancer Campaign" as their mission is “to beat breast cancer”.  Personally my Auntie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and has undergone surgery and cancer treatment and my daughter’s best friend aged 15 lost her mum to breast cancer. 

 

The money raised will by used to provide funding for research into finding an absolute cure for the disease and so your donation will go towards helping to save the lives of more mums, daughters, friends and colleagues.
