About the charity
:
Pattaya Orphanage Trust
The Pattaya Orphanage Trust helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Thailand - abandoned, disabled, HIV+, tsunami survivors or street children. With your help, we provide a home, education and future for almost 1000 children, and reach out to thousands more through health and nutrition projects.
- How it all started -
Over 30 years ago a baby was left on the doorstep of a Catholic priest in Pattaya. Father Ray Brennan took this child in and with this single compassionate act the Pattaya Orphanage Trust was born.
The Pattaya Orphanage Trust is now the main overseas supporter of the Father Ray Foundation, the Thai parent charity of our projects in Pattaya. We also support projects in Rayong and the south of Thailand, making us the largest UK charity focusing on Thailand.
- The children -
We aim to support the most needy children in Thailand: orphans, children with HIV and AIDS, street kids, children affected by the Tsunami, blind children, deaf children and disabled young people.
Today, with the generosity of people like you, we provide a safe and loving home, including food, shelter, medical care and access to education, to over 1000 children.

In celebration of its 60th Anniversary, BUPA organised an international charity challenge for 60 employees at Sarnelli House Orphanage in Northern Thailand in Dec 2007. The objective of the project iwas to help the orphanage in its quest to raise awareness of the problems of HIV and AIDS in Thailand, whilst bettering the lives of the children living there by building new facilities over a six week period. Community Connections plans to develop a sustainable relationship with the orphanage and encourage a stronger relationship with its BUPA business in Thailand. The challenge was part funded by BUPA Community Connections, as well as fund raising activities by the volunteers. After returning from Sarnelli my life changed completely and I wake up each day thinking about the children and my new found friends. I am planning to return in Dec 08 with my son to paint and restore some more of the orphanage and hopefully reunite with friends. I know you all supported me last year but am asking again if not cash maybe a raffle gift for my planned ball in August.I thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
