Story
I was excited to be able to run in Right To Play UK's first 5K Challenge in Battersea Park on Friday, 11 May. It may have only been 5K, but for me, it was a big 5K forward after many years struggling with injuries. But with four surgeries behind me, I was able not only to run, but to finish with a personal best time! To be able to participate in the fun was a big personal win for me, but to make it even more meaningful, I would like your help in raising funds to help children around the world to overcome much bigger challenges.
Born from the Olympic movement and founded by four-time gold medalist Johann Olav Koss, Right To Play (www.righttoplay.com/uk) is a global organization that uses the transformative power of sport and play to educate and empower some of the world's most vulnerable children. Right To Play uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Right To Play currently works in over 20 countries to reach more than 800,000 children in twice weekly programs every week. I had the privilege of visiting a Right To Play program in Ghana, and seeing first hand the impact the work has on the lives of these children and their communities.
It costs just £25 to give a child their Right To Play, twice a week, for a year - so please considering donating. Thank you!
