You may have noticed that last year was stage one of my ‘Get Fit and Healthy’ Campaign – ‘Get the weight off’. Well, this year is stage two – ‘Get Fit’

I decided that it would be appropriate that my efforts to get Healthy should help those who sadly have little control over their health, in fact they have a terminal illness–The ‘Make a wish foundation’ gives truly magical wishes to children who are terminally ill and for whom Getting Healthy can never be as easy as a concerted effort.

So……………..
On Sept 25th I am walking the Great Wall of China – Not ALL of it. However it is six hours a day for six consecutive days – quite a challenge for someone who, 12 months ago, couldn’t walk 600 yards without getting out of breath.

As a Geordie I’m quite lucky – with ‘Hadrian’s wall’ to practise on  and the training plan has already begun
