When I applied in January to take part in the first ever Yorkshire Marathon on 20th October 2013 , for my first ever marathon I didn't expect to secure a place but did - what happened to going into a ballot!! what was I thinking??  I had only ever run 10k before!  in the following months my running training was really non-existent. The holidaying and going out to the pub 'training' was going fine though - then suddenly summer was upon us and the emails from plusnet yorkshire started to come in and I knew that I had to step it up if I was going to have any chance of even taking part never mind finishing.

At first I wasnt going to put myself under added pressure of running for a charity but after increasing my miles to 8, 10, half marathon and then 15 yesterday -  I made the decision to do my bit to the pledge that a group of friends had made to raise money for this charity which is very close to us..

I am only asking for you - my friends to donate a £1.00 each (although not sure I know 262 people but if I dont I will make up the shortfall so I reach my target)  which is less than a take away coffee or just a little bit more than a can of pop - to help me achieve my target and thank you all in advance...
