Cornwall Hospice Care
Cornwall Hospice Care provides care and support throughout Cornwall, for people living with life-threatening illnesses, their families and carers, not only in our two hospices - St Julia’s in Hayle and Mt Edgcumbe in St Austell - but also in outreach centres across the county. Last year, nearly 500 people benefited from over 7,400 bed days, receiving treatment to alleviate pain and control symptoms. The care given to patients and their families is provided free of charge, but costs us over £5 million annually (£10 a minute). Only 13% of this is funded by the government which means that we rely heavily on the generous support of the general public, donations, challenges and fundraising events. All the money we raise stays in Cornwall.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
 Anyone who knows me will pretty much think the idea of me going on a trek to Peru is just hilarious! I myself have certain concerns such as; Where will I plug in my hair straighteners..? What if I chip a nail..? Will I be able to where my 'Jimmy Choo's'..? But most importantly of all, were they serious when they said I'll get used to 'peeing outdoors'....???!!! I think not! But seriously, I wouldn't even contemplate leaving my family and baby-boy-dog if I wasn't going to raise £1000's for Cornwall Hospice Care, so thank you, thank you, thank you. I  blisters. Karen x x
