Take the Lead - step out for the Animal Cancer Trust! The weekend of 6th and 7th October is dog walk weekend. Early October: a crisp feel in the air, leaves crackling on the ground - what better time to get outdoors and 'Take the Lead' with the Animal Cancer Trust and Royal Canin, who are holding a series of sponsored walks throughout the UK . Every walker who raises £5 or more for the Animal Cancer Trust will receive a free dog lead from Royal Canin and there will also be a prize for the person who has raised the most money. There are organised walks in the New Forest, Stanmer Park (Brighton), Milton Country Park (Cambridge) and Ham Hill Country Park (Yeovil). But if you are not near a walk it doesn't matter. Walk in your locality - with friends or on your own - and help raise money for the cause whilst enjoying yourself! Cancer affects one in four dogs and up to one in eight cats in the UK, and with a UK population of around 6.9 million dogs and 9.2 million cats, many pet owners are likely to face the disease. However, countrywide, there are less than 10 RCVS recognised specialists in veterinary oncology, meaning that for a huge number of pets, gold standard care is out of reach. Registration and sponsorship forms plus further details are available from www.animalcancertrust.org.uk. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor the Animal Cancer Trust online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Animal Cancer Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support. Karen Pearson, Chief Executive, Animal Cancer Trust
