I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year with an amazing group of women including Laura Phillips who will have just finished her last bout of chemo.

I'm doing this Pretty Muddy race mainly to support Laura and to celebrate her amazing approach and determination to raise awareness and money and help others whilst going through such a tough journey. I'm also doing it in memory of my wonderful mum Pat Whiitleworth who I still miss so much and my gorgeous friends Kath, Jill and Fiona who were taken from us far too soon as well as celebrating the lives of friends and family members living wth, surviving and sticking a finger up to cancer.

As one of these myself it's a cause very dear to my heart. I rarely do fund raising pages but this event is different - the money I raise goes into the team pot and I really want to help Laura achieve her fund raising target.
