A mom, a dad, a sister, a brother. A cousin or friend. A spouse. We all know someone that has been touched by cancer in some way or another.
I plan to race for all those that have had this unwelcome intruder enter their lives.
Even I have known people with this disease: My cousin died at age 18. She had bone cancer. My aunt died at age 39. She had breast cancer. My grandfather died at age 85. He was claimed by colon cancer.
Marie Curie scientists are at the forefront of cancer research. They focus on how the cells of our bodies should normally operate; what causes these processes to go wrong, leading to cancer; and how better treatments can be developed. On April 13th, 2008, I shall be running the Flora London Marathon for this worthwhile charity. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
