Event 3

Saturday 9th May is the30th Waendel Walk and I'll be doing the 25KM (16 Mile) route again. 

26 miles ,which included a 5 mile ride to and from the event ,was completed in 2 hours 34 minutes and raised £60

Event 2

On Saturday 15th November 2008 my brother held a 1940's 40th Birthday party and requested donations rather than presents.

He raised £80

Event 1 - Waendel Weekend 2008 25KM Cycle ride.

On Saturday 10th May I started out at 7am to travel the 5miles to the event. I then completed the 16 mile route and cycled the 5 miles back again. The course time was under 1.5 hours plus around 1  hour in total traveling to and from the event. And about 15 minutes registering and queuing at the end collect the certificate and medal.

The early start avoided the high temperatures that followed later. The pre-event training paid off well with only one very steep hill stopping me cycling up it. All in all after the first 5 or 6 miles the roads were empty and it was a very pleasant trip. I'd recommend it to anybody

On a more personal note my Cousin was a cancer patient and had under gone intensive chemotherapy to try and control / reduce the cancer she had.

On Monday 6th April 2009 my Cousin died aged 37.
