Mount Kilimanjaro summit climb · 27 January 2009

We work in some of the world's poorest places, where people suffer the effects of conflicts beyond their control. We are specialists in supporting communities that are remote, difficult to get to and difficult to work in. Put simply, we help children in places other charities just don't go.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

In June 2009 I will be dragging my behind up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of a brilliant charity called Children in Crisis.

At 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust and my challenge is to reach the summit! The trek will take 8 days with an average of 10 hours climbing per day - avoiding altitude sickness!

Children in Crisis focuses on providing an education to children both at home and abroad to ensure that they can provide for a better future - if you'd like more information please check out their website - www.childrenincrisis.org  Here are some ways in which your money could be spent...

I would hugely appreciate any donation you can give, no matter how big or small.  As well as donations from great people like you, I will be organising FUN fundraising events and will let you know all about them as I go.  In return for your generous contribution, I promise to share the tales of my trek, provide photographic evidence and buy you a beer when I see you!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children in Crisis gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
