Hi Everyone,
thank you all for visiting our page and hopefully sponsoring the two of us.
we are already in training for the challenge of a lifetime! we plan to cycle 300kms across Jordan this October to raise as much money as we can for the charity Women for Women.
We have been inspired by two of our friends, Lynnette and Louise, who have both been affected by serious health conditions. Sadly Louise passed away 27/09/08 and so this is also a tribute to her and to show that we want to make a difference for the future.
we know its going to be hard and so really value your support and encouragement over the next 8 days!!!.
Funds raised are used to train women scientists and clinicians of the highest calibre to work on major research projects to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions that cause miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility and cancer. The fundamental aim is to safeguard our future generations by improving women's health and ensuring more women have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Women for Women is administered by the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecolgoy Trust. Professor Winston is Chairman of both the Trust and Women for Women. He is calling for women from across the UK to join Cycle Jordan to raise funds to continue ground-breaking medical research.
