Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
Many of you will know that Kate ran a 5K last year and thanks to support from friends and relatives raised nearly £500. This year she is doubling up - moving to 10K, running alongside Richard and hoping to double the total too.
240,000 people in the UK have aphasia – an invisible disability that affects communication which is normally caused by stroke. People with aphasia may find it hard to speak, read, write, understand language and use number. Connect is a national charity which helps people living with aphasia to reconnect with life.
‘Coming to Connect. For me it was the day when I began to get better’ - Sue Guy had her stroke in 2000. She is now a Connect Trustee.
So please, help us help people who live with aphasia...sponsor us now!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Connect - the Communication Disability Network will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
