Story
In August I'll be swimming across the English Channel to France in a relay team of six swimmers. It's 21 miles as the crow flies but likely to be longer than that due to having to battle with the currents and tides. The main thing I'm worried about is the cold - it will probably be around 16 degrees, which is pretty cold without a wetsuit (only swimming costumes are allowed...). And no, there will be no goose fat! The ferries and tankers are also something of a concern, as is the fact that it's possible we may have to swim in the dark...
I'm raising money for Aspire, a fantastic charity which supports people with spinal cord injuries (details below). Any sponsorship, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks so much
Kate
