The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On the 12th September I won't be on the boat but instead swimming a mile in the Lake.  I will be swimming for the Sarah Matheson Trust , a charity which has particular relevance to me.

As many of you will know my dad suffers from Multiple System Atrophy.  It is a degenerative disease which leads to problems with balance, movement and automatic functions of the body - it is very similar to Parkinson's, only worse in many respects. The Sarah Matheson Trust is the only UK support charity for people living with MSA and their families and that's why I want to support it.

I am going to be shameless in my request for sponsorship.  If this means that other people do not have to suffer like my dad and if more support is available then it will be worth it. So please dig deep and think of me on 12th September.
