British 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

The Elizabeth Foundation is a Family Centre with baby, toddler and pre-school sessions for deaf children and their families. We follow the 'Multi Sensory Oral Approach', to develop speech, language and listening skills by using all of the child's senses in a natural, fun, child-centred environment.

Story

On Sunday the 12th July I will be participating in the 2009 ASICS BRITISH 10K LONDON RUN!  Pictured here are my fantastic support team planning my training schedule and not ever having done anything like this, I need all the help I can get!

I decided to do this to raise money for the Elizabeth Foundation. I became aware of the amazing work of the charity last year, when our great friend’s, Tor and Kevin Harris’ little girl, Rosannah, was diagnosed as being profoundly deaf at 6 weeks old. Over the last year Rosannah has received a wonderful grounding in communication skills through weekly lessons and access to the home learning and support programme provided by the Charity.

I would be really grateful if you felt able to sponsor me!

Thank you very much.
