Story

Hi Everyone!

We have both decided that during what will be a very happy time in our lives we would like to try and raise a little money for a very good cause. We appreciate that this may be a slightly unusual request but we would both be delighted if you could make a wee donation to this or any other charity in lieu of a wedding gift.

Love
Kate and Martin xx

About our chosen charity
St Margaret of Scotland Hospice, the first to be opened in Scotland, was established in 1950 as a non-denominational Hospice seeking to provide a standard of care which was not then available. The Hospice offers compassion, dedicated commitment and excellent care to patients with advanced life-limiting illnesses and also to the older person with complex medical and nursing needs. The Hospice offers a wide range of facilities to the local and wider community including Day Care Centre, Out Patient Facilities, Home Care and Counselling Services.

At present the Hospice is attempting to raise £4.6m in order to modernise and expand its current facilties. After completion they will have more single rooms, some double rooms, occupational therapy and more private areas. They have so far raised £3 million but there is obviously a long way to go. Only another £1.6 million is required to give patients the home they deserve at a difficult time in their lives.
