Story
Jon died on Sunday January 4th 2009 after a short illness. He was 45 years old
His family and close friends were with him right to the end, when he peacefully drifted away whilst sleeping.
Jon was much loved by his family, work colleagues and his wide circle of friends. He was a very hard worker and a generous man with a wicked sense of humour. A lifelong Chelsea supporter, he had written regular articles for their fanzine, as well as contributing to popular football magazines and publishing several 'Guides to Football Grounds'.
The love of Jon's life was his young daughter Daisy. Jon devoted all his spare time to his daughter and together they shared a wealth of experiences.
Although Jon was only in the hospice for 10 days, the care and the devotion of the staff made a huge difference to both Jon and his family. Hospices only receive 25% of their costs from the government - the rest has to be raised by themselves. In view of this, donations are requested in lieu of flowers and it is hoped that several fundraising events will take place during the year in order that a meaningful sum of money can be donated to the Willen and his memory may live on.
Thank you for your help and support.
