I am raising money for cancer research.

In April 2007, my wonderful friend Brenda Meredith passed away just 5 months after a diagnosis for Pancreatic Cancer.

Before this my friends Angela and Stuart lost their beautiful 4 year old Naomi to Neuroblastoma.

I had very wrongly assumed the Big C was no longer that big anymore and that cancer if diagnosed early enough would be treatable. How wrong I was. Only through continual research and funding can we find a way to stop this happening to other wonderful people. Cancer Research is one of the top charities in this field, and it helps by not only funding research but also by campaigning and providing information for individuals, families and friends of people whose life is taken over by this dreadful disease.

I shall be looking at a variety of ways to raise money. But for the period January 2008 - August 2008, I shall be looking to lose 29 pounds in weight and would love it if you sponsor me!
