Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Why am I doing this Half-Marathon?
Well, one of the reasons is out of interest and because I want to challenge myself. I have been running since I was very young but this was a time when my dad used to take us kids into the forest and on successful completion of the route bought us some Italian ice-cream. I will never forget how one smelly dad with 3 smelly, dirty kids monthly went into that posh ice-cream parlor and raised the attention of all the customers. Would I do the same with my kids? OH YES. :)
Running is one of my most favourite hobbies and by running the marathon I can put this hobby to some use and raise money for the charity I am volnteering for at the moment by walking homeless dogs.
The RSPCA centre in Sheffield (Attercliffe)  is a brand new institution and it can hold approximately 80 dogs and 69 cats when used to full capacity. It is entirely self-funding and therefore relies heavily on public support. It costs them about 1500 pounds to keep the centre running for a week but even small donations can make a difference and keep dogs and cats happy and well fed.
I will keep training so please donate whatever you feel like giving.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rspca - Sheffield Branch gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
