Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Dear all,

I did it! On 26 April I ran 26 miles in the London Marathon - in 4 hours 21 minutes. I would've liked to do it faster, but I did run the whole way so am happy. It was hot and hard, but it's over (and I am not altogether against the idea of running another marathon in my lifetime...).

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the amount at the top of this page - it really means a lot to me and the Sarah Matheson Trust. And for those of you who haven't yet contributed (maybe you thought I wouldn't manage it...), there's still time left!

Thanks for your support,
Kathryn
