Run to the Beat 2011 · 25 September 2011 ·

The British Paralympic Association is a registered charity and is responsible for selecting, entering and creating a world class environment for the ParalympicsGB team during the Summer and Winter Games. Your support enables us to give athletes the best possible preparation for the Games.

Story

Hi,

I'm taking part in the Run to the Beat half marathon on September 25th for ParalympicsGB.  This involves me running 4 times a week - argh!

I've even got up early in the morning to run before work which seemed like an impossibility a few weeks ago.

So, why give your hard earned money to ParalympicsGB?

Because they receive no funding for their core activities. So have to raise funds to ensure the British team receive the preparations they need and deserve to perform at their best when it matters most.

With a home Games in London 2012, ParalympicsGB have a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a lasting impact on attitudes towards disability and importantly to inspire more people with a disability to get in to sport.

The Paralympics helps to change people's views on disability, please help us to enable this change.

Check out our Team EDF Energy page too - details of fundraising events coming soon...
