I' lost my mum to cancer on the 10th of March 2012.  She had been battling the disease for 18 years.

During the course of all her treatments, she got excellent support from health workers, she got the drugs she needed, she got the care she needed, and at the very end, she was in a hospice, the staff of which prvided the most excellent care.

I've chosen Macmillan to support, because they too are excellent at providing support to cancer sufferers and their families, especially at the hardest times.

Macmillan also campaign to make sure everyone has access to the health care and support they need, and they do it for people they've never even met!

I'm putting myself through the challenge of a lift time, to raise £10,000 to make sure everyone living with cancer gets all the help they need, no matter who they are, or where they're from.
