Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know, I'm running the Paisley 10k on August 30th for St Vincent's Hospice, Renfrewshire.
St Vincent's is a non-denominational hospice, who provide pallative care and support for patients and families throughout my local area. On average, it costs £5000 per day to run St Vincents, which does have local health board support, but relies heavily on donations and fundraising to continue providing their services to the people of Renfrewshire.
As a completely unfit person, I thought that choosing the (for me!) physically demanding task of running a 10k would be incredibly donation-worthy (wink-wink, hint hint!) and despite being now able to run the length of myself without puffing out, all donations are absolutely welcome, and every penny will spur me on to complete the race without flagging a taxi halfway through...
If you choose to donate through JustGiving, you'll find it's simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks for your time - and for visiting this page, even if it's just been for a nosy - raising awareness of the great work St Vincent's does is just as important. Although, saying that, if you can spare the cost of a pint or two (or a bottle of vino, if you'd prefer!) to help me raise as much money as I possibly can, I will be incredibly grateful - as will the lovely people at St Vincent's.
Cheers and best wishes,
Love Kate xx
