Story

Blimey... thought I'd never get to this stage... hold on to your hats...

Thank you so much for visiting my page and contemplating sponsoring me to run the Marathon (argh), I promise I have tried really really hard to get fit!  It's been so tough, Cissy, Art and Margot have been running, cycling, moaning by my side for the past few months and I def owe it to them to bring home a medal. In fact Margot has pretty much run every mile of my training, which is slightly annoying because now she is really fit and I'm planning to ramp down on the training (to zero) come April 14, which will be nothing short of irritating for her.

My lovely cousin Kelly asked me last summer to run the Marathon with her for so many reasons, we have been laughing about it since (although secretly I weep when I'm on my own) and we get emotional thinking about that final mile together... so let's hope we don't actually shit our shorts and spoil the moment.

We chose to run for Shooting Star Chase because they are an amazing children's charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.  Being a mum of two healthy kids, who are the most important people in my life, I just can't imagine the difficult time that so many families have to face.  If I can run the Marathon and rope some of you lovely lot in to a whip-round to help support these kids and make last moments count then I happily will.  Please take a moment to look at the beautiful work they do any consider making a small donation... http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/

Thanks again and big kisses to all of you who donate something, I promise I'll buy each of you a beer when I see you next... and show you my medal (but not my shitty shorts)!

Wish us luck!
