A couple of weeks ago, a very good friend of mine had some devastating news, her beautiful daughter, Shannon got diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. She's only 18 and one of the loveliest girls I have ever met, her smile literally lights up the room. They're such a close and strong family but it really has knocked them for six, it was such a shock! I know they'll fight it all the way and I'll be joining the rest of Shannon's Angels to help raise money to fight this awful disease.  As a Mum of two beautiful girls myself, I can't even begin to imagine what a scary time this is for them all but I know with the support and positivity of all their family, friends and friends of friends she'll fight this and it'll just become a part of her past! I'm also doing the race in memory of people close to me that I've lost to Cancer, my Aunty Rose who was the craziest Aunty ever and such a massive part of my life and then there's The Steve, my best friends Dad and for all the other people who I know are still fighting it!

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
