We are treking the Sierra Nevada mountain range in September 2009. The peaks are the highest in mainland Spain, and are very challenging. The trek will involve two days of hard work, approximately 12 hours treking in total.

We are doing this to raise money for MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE (MND). This is a progressive neurodegenerative disease, it means that nerves degenerate and this causes weakness muscles. This disease causes the patients to lose the movement of their limbs, develop difficulty with speech, swallowing and breathing problems.

At present, there is no cure for this disease. MND can effect anyone. It is important to support this charity so research can take place to find a cure and improve people's lifes who suffer with MND.

We both feel passionate about helping this charity. A family friend from the Porter family died of MND a few years ago.
