Katie's Trust wants to help children with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma by providing a listening ear & financial support for patients & parents; providing access to healing/alternative therapy; and supporting research. Katie's Trust will provide financial assistance to dancers in the Scottish Borders.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My cousin's daughter, Katie sadly died last year after being diagnosed on 28 Feb 2008 when she was 10 years old with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma, a tumour on her brain stem, which affects around 35 children per year in the UK. In memory of Katie her family established The Katie McKerracher Trust (http://www.katiemckerrachertrust.co.uk/) to primarily help and support other children who have a Diffuse Pontine Glioma as well as their families and to locally support one of Katie's favourite pastimes, dancing.

As part of their fundraising activities, I'm joining 119 other cyclists in July on a four day cycle challenge from North Uist to South Uist.

All the money raised will go directly to the charity so any amount will be gratefully received.
