Afasic- Wacky walk up the Wrekin · 21 April 2009

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Well the event has now been and gone!

The 'Wacky Walk' up the Wrekin was a huge success and I have managed to exceed the initial target I had set to raise funds for 'Afasic'.

The reason I chose to raise money for this charity is that being a student Speech and Language Therapist, I understand how frustrating it can be for children and young adults with a Speech and Language Impairment to communicate effectively, I also know how much support is needed to aid these children and young adults with Speech and Language Impairments to overcome these barriers.  'Afasic' is a fantastic charity that supports these children and young adults aswell as their parents or carers, I cannot express enough how valuable their work is.

If you are reading this page and would still like to make a donation that is still absolutely fine and greatly appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Afasic gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has sponsored me to complete this event! It was  a fantastic day! People I met on the walk were very generous, putting there hands in their pockets adding  a further £20 to the charity total.

Thanks again !
