'Karibuni' is Ki-Swahili for 'Welcome'. The Trust raises awareness of the needs of children living in poverty on the streets and in the slums in towns, cities and rural areas of Kenya, and raises money to meet those needs by supporting Kenyan projects working with the children and their carers.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Last year I stupidly decided to take on a new challenge - I undertook to run the Reading half marathon, despite the fact that I hate running! But what better way to keep fit and raise money for a good cause at the same time? The Karibuni Trust is a great charity who I did some voluntary work for while I was in Kenya a few years ago on my travels, so I have personal experience of the wonderful work that they do for the children out there.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Karibuni Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I've been training hard for the last few months now so please sponsor me to make it all worthwhile!
