Adidas Women's 5k Challenge - Birmingham · 7 September 2008 ·

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

WE DID IT!!!!! THE WEATHER HELD OUT AND WE HAD A FANTASTIC DAY!! - PLEASE KEEP SUPPORTING US AS THIS PAGE WILL ACCEPT AND PROCESS ALL DONATIONS UNTIL DECEMBER 7TH XXX

We have participated as a group known as KATY's MATES  in order to raise funds and awareness of Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis which is a chronic and debilitating disease that affects 1 in 10000 children and teenagers and, specifically, our little mate Katy Tudor aged 6 who has endured this disease for 3 years. All her joints are affected except her toes!  The money will go to the fantastic team @ Birmingham Children's Hospital Rheumatology department to fund research into finding a cure for this disease as well as raising its profile further.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Birmingham Children's Hospital Rheumatology department gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support !! love, Katy's Mates xxxxxxxxxx
