Wow...Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored us! It's means so much!!! :) xx

On the 3rd of September we are doing a 'BED PUSH' for Animal SOS Sri Lanka! We will be pushing the bed through Haverfordwest, raising money along the way..

We found out about Animal SOS during a holiday to Sri lanka, we came across a little dog called 'Duwa' at the bus stop in Hikkaduwa. He was severly under weight with mange and flees and had lost the bottom of his front leg after being hit by a train. We were desperate to find help for him, as we only had a short time left in Sri Lanka, ... Thank God for Animal SOS ... With the help and advice of Kim we managed to get him vetenary attention and I am delighted to report that Duwa is now healthy, happy and living with an amazing family in Sri lanka!

Duwa was one of the lucky street dogs...

The not so lucky ones have to struggle every day with the risks of road traffic accidents which are very common in Sri lanka simply because there are so many strays on the roads. With no access to veterinary care, these stricken animals are left at the roadside to suffer in agony many with fractured spines and limbs.

Also in a tropical climate, wounds are vulnerable to fly strike and maggot infestation causing yet another danger to injured street animals

Sunburn, starvation, dehydration, disease, worms, fly strike, cars trains, people, and these are only a handful of the day to day problems theses dogs have to fight against!!

The team is working very hard to help to prevent the incredible street dog problem that they have in Sri lanka treating, neutering and homing the dogs either in the sanctuary or with local families!

Please check out their website or facebook page to see the amazing work they are doing!!!

http://www.animalsos-sl.com/index.html

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Animal-SOS-Sri-Lanka/165576613502654?sk=app_161128210587174

Thank you for your support, never mind how small it is really appreciated!
