This year I have opted for something different - a winter walk rather than a summer one.  I opted for the 10k stroll rather than the 5k dash (bit too energetic for a Sunday morning).

I am used to visiting Oulton Park, but more to spectate those on the track rather than being on the track myself - but hey this is for a very good cause. It took 1 hour 35 mins to do 2 laps of the track (never looks that far on the telly!) and the picture is me at the end sporting my medal.

St Luke's do an excellent job for those who are sick or terminally ill. They offer help and support not only to the patients but to the families and those caring for others in the community.  Without their help, compassion and guidance, many people would not have made it through their darkest days.

They need £5,600 per day to keep the hospice running and events like this are a vital way of raising the much needed funds.
