Football to Amsterdam 2021
Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
Leave your rivalries on the pitch and help stop prostate cancer being a killer. Football to Amsterdam is your chance to change the game for men everywhere, by cycling virtually to Amsterdam from Sheffield or London.

Story

I’m taking part in Football to Amsterdam 2022 and have joined forces with some Nottingham Forest supporters to turn a two day, 145-mile bike ride to the Dutch capital from Sheffield into a 200 mile, 3 day ride from Nottingham.

We’ll be putting football rivalries aside to tackle prostate cancer once and for all. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match. But Prostate Cancer UK know that we can turn it around. Their aim is to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.

This is 3rd time I've signed up for this fantastic event. It never fails to amaze me when I hear the stories of what some of my fellow riders have endured and yet still find the strength to tackle this challenge. It is quite humbling and makes me question if I would have the same determination if I was in their shoes. Fortunately I am healthy at this time but my brother has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and  I want to make a difference more than ever to help beat this terrible disease.

If you do have a few pounds you could spare to support me, at this challenging time for us all, it would be greatly appreciated by me, my brother and men everywhere.
