Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I will be running 10km in aid of the Meath Epilepsy Trust on the 10th May 2009 with the Guildford Rotary Club. All donations need to be made by 18th May.
The Meath, based in Godalming, cares for a group of people who are among the most disadvantaged in our society. A combination of severe epilepsy, learning and physical disabilities as well as other conditions such as autism and cerebral palsy makes an independent life out of reach and many will stay for the rest of their lives.
I chose to raise money for the Meath, having spent some weeks there during my Summer holiday whist doing voluntary work. I really enjoyed my time there: the staff were extremely friendly and the residents were a lot of fun to talk and interact with.
The money raised will go towards basic running costs of the centre, facility maintenance costs and for new development projects, especially in providing accommodation for residents.
You can find out more at http://www.meath.org.uk/. I have currently raised around £260, but a donation through justgiving will allow for the additional donation through giftaid.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Meath Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please give generously to a worthwhile cause!
