Story

WELL A VERY BIG THANKYOU TO YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND HOPEFULLY A SMALL DONATION .....

This is my 3rd marathon and very much hope to continue to run for the hospice EVERY year till I am unable to even walk ?

At my young age of 51,born sept in 1959 feel I have lots more to give .AND WILL DO SO.

So if you feel you are to old and think that you could never attempt it you are soooo wrong the love along the way and the public and crowds give you that boost and push to start and keep going, HONEST!!

Any way let's talk the reasons as to why im doing this, it's simple the St Michael's hospice needs funds to contiue their much needed work and support to those who are in dire need and quality of care .I have had the loss of 5 loving souls who passed last year and without the true care and guidence that only the hospice did and could  provide ,their time within the hospice was so greatly appreciated by family members and indeed themselves. Every time I have visited the hospice the love and compassion you feel the second you walk through the driveway is imense its like a powerfull bolt that hits you with well LOVE  for want of a better word . I also have had the great pleasure of knowing a customer and true friend to whom i have adopted as my younger sister - her name is CAROL GALATOLA .Carol is fighting breast cancer and she is doing just that a great spirit and with such determination puts able persons like me to shame ,i have to let my wife and boys know even if i get a splinter ....CAROL and her partner LOUISE run a fantastic hotel here in hastings and despite their daily battle, never give up so why should you and me ..Lets keep on raiseing money and defeat this menace to our lives;Carol gave me the opportunity to get of my arse and attempt to help real people and make a diffrence to those who trully need it .As I have written this a few days ago i thought it would be important to let you know of Carols situation thus far,the lovleylady is a very young 49 this year & in stage 3 with her illness. Its been in remission for a while like a caged beast carol describes it as and secondary.Carol also clearly stated that without the great help and kindness and love she received from the Hospice she would have been in greater despair and their continued help is a blessing indeed ......  Bless you my dear .The first marothon i did ,i did for the tsnami victims in thailand and raised just under £4.000 pounds ,some was given via pledges through my sandwich shop and a few hundred running with a 10 litre mayo bucket .Last year not getting much publicity prior to the run did not so well .So please dig deep and forward your cash and beleive me  it will trully make a diffrence .Also for the highest donation you can come to my shop and shave my hair as we need to raise the profile even more in this economic time we all have to live in .I could talk more but the bottom line is I NEED YOUR MONEY .............PLEASE ,PLEASE JUST THINK A FIVER ,TENNER IS THAT TO MUCH .......Think their for the grace of god go we all .??   If i could wave a magic wand to erradicate the nasty C word than i would but i cant .This way at least you can sleep in your pit knowing you helped so much .Please help the hospice and make a BIG diffrence . So money please .
