Those of you who know me well know that I cannot be in a room with even a small spider. Therefore, it will come as a surprise that I have agreed to be a part of a two week JLD project in the jungle in the Sabah region of Borneo. Whilst living for about 10 days in the jungle (which is home to some of the most frightening arachnids on the planet - Google "Borneo spiders" if you don't believe me!)the 12 members of the team, during every moment of daylight, will be digging a gravity water supply from the mountain through the jungle to a village that does not have clean water. We will be the only team undertaking this project and so the pressure will be on us to finish what we start.
For the last few days we will be taken to the nearest city where we will run workshops on the rule of law for the Sabah Law Society and Malaysian Bar Association.
The money that you donate will go to fund the cost of the project with some assisting with travel costs and inoculations (13 at the last count... ouch!).
This will be the most challenging and ambitious project that I have ever undertaken but it cannot go ahead without support.

Each team member needs to raise £3,500 by September which is a challenge by itself! Please give what you can... every pound makes the project more likely to succeed. All I need is 1,000 to give me £3.50, 100 people to give me £35 or 35 businesses to give me £100!
