I am walking the Coast to Coast with my good friend and colleague Patrick Culleton who I have known for many years. The walk starts on 5th July for two weeks and we expect to walk over 200 miles, from St Bees Head Cumbria on the Irish sea, to Robin Hood's Bay on the North Sea.

I dedicate this walk to my 26 year old daughter Lisa, who has suffered this dreadful illness M.E. for seventeen years. Life has been really tough for her, missing all the best years in life, being confined to bed most of the time. Having dealt with all the problems physically and emotionally, she suffered a devastating breakdown in 2001. She has improved since, but is still being cared for at home, by my wonderful wife.
