Dallaglio Cycle Slam · 12 February 2010 ·

Sport Relief brings the nation together to get active and raise life changing amounts of money through the power of sport. Sport Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland)

Story

If you have made it this far you will know by now that in February 2010 I will be cycling 442km between Paris and London, over 4 days, averaging 6 hours a day in the saddle, across a freezing Northern Europe!

I'll be in good company though - not least Mr Lawrence Dallaglio, Wasps, England and Lions rugby legend...and brand ambassador for my brand Greene King IPA.

As well as a sprinkling of other sporting celebs, I will be riding with 24 other members of Team Greene King, all of whom thought at some point that this would be a good idea!

But most importantly it is about why we are doing it. Lawrence has set himself the challenge of raising over £1m for Sport Relief and The Dallaglio Foundation - and were trying to help him get to his target. He will be riding 2800km between all the 6 Nations rugby grounds over 24 days - so our 4 days in the saddle will be a breeze!

The Dallaglio Foundation is supporting 4 fantastic charities as part of the ride:

Help for Heroes: raising money to help support our wounded servicemen and women

The Professional Rugby Players Association Benevolent Fund: providing financial support for players who have been forced to retire from the game due to serious injury or illness, and support players’ families in the event of their untimely death.

Debra: the national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Cancer Research UK: dedicated to beating cancer through research.

Please give us as much as you can for these great causes.

Thanks, Keith
